Developed in the early 70s, the CWU 45/P was the successor to the famous MA-1. Made of heavier fire retardant nomex fabric, this jacket would be the standard issue flight jacket for the Navy into the 90s. This example features original patches which show it belonged to an FA-18 Hornet pilot, who flew with Strike Fighter Squadrons 87 & 106 from the USS Theodore Roosevelt.
